Sometimes, nothing
is going to do except a very simple bowl of warm and creamy. Simple, beautiful
and incredibly comforting.
Ingredients:
3 ¼ cups water1 cup old fashioned grits
½ cup milk
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon salt
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
2 ounces processed American cheese, cubed
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
Place the water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
Slowly whisk in the grits and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook about 12
minutes or until thick and creamy, stirring often. Add in the milk, cover again
and continue cooking for about 5 minutes. Stir every so often.Add the seasonings and cheeses and cook for 2-3 more minutes or until cheeses melt.
